MONROVIA, Feb 2 (LINA) – Montserrado County Senator Saah Joseph has broken ground for a multi-purpose building and a mini Technical College in District#13 Montserrado County, putting the cost of the project at US$1m.
Speaking during the program in the New Georgia Gulf Community over the weekend, Senator Joseph said the project upon completion will be a modern three-storey building, comprising a computer lab, nursing and vocational school and Primary, Junior and Senior High School.
The project, according to him, will be the first in the New Georgia Community and will be a tuition-free institution for all levels with a minimum and affordable registration fee.
He noted that the project is in fulfillment of a promise he made to the people of District#13 when he was Representative of the District, adding that he is passionate to help the less fortunate parents and children to obtain education in order to help transform the country.
The Montserrado County lawmaker further promised to turn over his January to December salaries and gas to the county authorities for the project to ensure its early completiont and fulfillment of his promise.
He further disclosed that chairs, tables and many other school materials, including 200 computers, are in the country as a testimony of his readiness for the project, stating also that materials for the foundation of the project are now available.
Joseph encouraged the community dwellers to take the initiative of the project and join hands for the forward march of the District and Montserrado County at large.
