Trade union and associative leaders meeting at seminar on trade union and professional training needs in Cabo Verde

Praia, Jul 17 (Inforpress) – Trade union and associative leaders are meeting this Monday at Praia, in the seminar on the needs of trade union and professional training needs in the country, which aims to provide trade unions with instruments for the protection of the rights of Cabo Verdean workers.
Speaking to the press, on the sidelines of the seminar, which is being carried out by the NGO Platform of Cabo Verde, in partnership with the NGO -OGBL of Luxembourg, the OGBL NGO representative Armand Drews explained that the two-day event to enable trade union centrals and associative leaders to enable them to represent their workers in the best way.
“On the second day of training, we will present the training actions that are being developed in Luxembourg in terms of trade unionism and at Cabo Verde, we will address the situation of the country and after that we will try to adapt the training to the needs of Cabo Verde”, he said.
Armand Drews considered that the challenges faced by trade unionism are the same, emphasizing that to defend the rights and interests it is necessary for the unions to be able to respond to the demands of the workers.
