Luanda, 14 June (Angop)- The United States is available to continue supporting the Angolan government’s efforts to train young people to contribute to the country’s economic and social growth.
The press, culture and education attaché in Angola, Deneyse Kirkpatrick, made the pledge last Thursday .
Addressing a closing ceremony of a course for administrators, directors and technicians of media libraries, called « Maker Apaces Training « , the attaché said the initiative is part of a protocol signed with the Media library Network of Angola (ReMA), in July 2018.
She said 15 media library technicians from provinces of Luanda, Benguela, Huíla, Zaire, Malanje, Huambo, Cunene, Lunda Sul and Bié, as well as members of the American Corner project of Cazenga municipality, benefitted from the three-day training.
The first agreement was signed in 2015 and over 20,000 users from the provinces of Luanda, Lunda Sul, Huambo, Zaire, Huíla and Benguela have participated in training programmes and actions supported by the US.
