27-year-old Vulcanizer found dead in Assin Fosu

Assin-Fosu (C/R), April 30, GNA – Philip Nyame, a 27-year-year-old vulcanizer at Fosu in the Assin Central Municipality has been found dead in his room.

Mr Emmanuel Agyare, the Municipal Environmental Health Officer who confirmed the tragedy to the Ghana News Agency said the cause of death was not immediately known.

According to him, friends of the deceased who reported the matter, said they last saw him on Sunday, so they decided to pay him a visit on Tuesday at his residence at Habitat, a suburb of Fosu.

He said on reaching the house, they saw his door locked from inside which prompted them to force the door open only to find his body lying motionless on his bed.

He said the friends hurriedly informed the Police and the Environmental Health Office, who together went to the scene to disinfect the room and the entire house before sending the corpse to the mortuary for preservation.
He said bloodstains were found in his nose and mouth of the deceased.
