Espargos, Sep 30 (Inforpress) – The tour operator in the restaurant area Américo Soares was appointed honorary consul of Brazil in Sal Island, with the public presentation ceremony taking place this weekend in the city of Santa Maria.
Américo Soares has business and friendship ties with Brazil since the 1980s, having visited that country several times as a visitor and business man.
Since March, the businessman has been serving as Brazil’s honorary consul in Sal, but the official presentation only took place this weekend, in one of the hotels in the tourist city.
The act was witnessed by the ambassador of Brazil to Cabo Verde, José Carlos Leitão, according to him the idea of installing an honorary consulate on this island comes from 2017.
