Ghana: ASSI urges members to maintain professionalism during holidays

Accra, Dec. 25, GNA – The Association of Small Scale Industries (ASSI) on Tuesday urged its members to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service during this Christmas season, as consumers look forward to having satisfying goods and services.

Mr Charles Nathaniel Abbey, the General Secretary of the Association, said Micro and Small businesses, including tailors, dressmakers, beauticians, mechanics, woodworkers and suppliers of consumables, should exhibit professionalism as they delivered services to consumers.

« We should be courteous and not take undue advantage of our customers. When we promise to deliver goods and services at a certain date, time and quality, we should keep to it. By so doing, customers would remain loyal, » he said.

« I wish all Ghanaians a pleasant, restful, yet business-filed holidays. »

The Association of Small Scale Industries is the umbrella body for trade associations within the manufacturing and service sectors, particularly micro, small and medium enterprises, established in 1986 and re-launched in 2017.

ASSI has more than 6000 members including hairdressers and barbers, tailors and dressmakers, plumbers, mechanics, electricians, agribusiness entrepreneurs, photographers, weavers and air conditioning and refrigeration specialists.
