Police investigate Maxima shooting incident resulting in death of a lady

Kumasi, July 14, GNA – The Ashanti Regional Police Command is investigating a shooting incident at Maxima Junction near the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science (KNUST), which led to the death of a young lady on Tuesday, July 13.
     The body of the yet to be identified lady had since been deposited at the morgue for autopsy.
     Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Godwin Ahianyo, Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Kumasi, appealed to the public to volunteer information that would lead to the arrest of the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
     The police say information reaching the Command indicated that the crime was committed by some men on two motorbikes.
     The latest incident adds up to the latest unresolved deaths recorded in the Region over the past one year.
