Pres. Weah On Int’l Duty, Departs For UAE, USA

MONROVIA, March 17 (LINA) – President George Manneh Weah has left Liberia for international engagements in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and United States of America (USA).

Dr. Weah left the country via the Roberts International Airport on Friday, March 17, 2023, according to an Executive Mansion statement.

As part of his engagements, the Liberian leader will meet with key UAE and U.S. government officials, Liberia’s development partners and potential investors.

While he is away, the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, G. Wesseh Blamoh, will chair the cabinet in consultation with the Vice President of Liberia, Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor and via telephone with the President.

President Weah was accompanied by Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Cllr. Musah Dean, Minister of Justice; Maj. Gen (rtd). Daniel Ziankahn, Minister of National Defense; Ledgerhood Julius Rennie, Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism; Samuel D. Tweah, Jr., Minister of Finance and Development Planning; and Eugene Lenn Nagbe, Commissioner of Liberia Maritime Authority.
