Six Students Expelled In Alleged Sex Scandal At Public School In Gbarpolu

MONROVIA, Feb. 24 (LINA) – The Principal of the Duodee Public School in Gbarma District, Gbarpolu County has expelled six students for allegedly having sex on campus during school hours.

Speaking to the Liberia News Agency over the weekend, Mr. Varney Gballey, said during school hours some students asked for permission to used the restroom and while on the way they saw the accused students behind the school building having sex with in pairs.

According to Principal Gballey, that was how the female student who saw her colleagues rushed to call him and he caught them red-handed in the act.

Gballey told the Liberia News Agency that the students were three boys along with three girls who were caught.

Gballey named Student Musu Flomo, 17; Morris Williams, 19; Siafa Massaquoi,18; Kebbah Molubah, 18; Jerry Coleman, 21 and Rolanlia Kekula, 20, all of the sixth grade class.

He described the expelled students actions as the first of its kind in the school’s history and an unfortunate incident.

« We have expelled these students because their action was meant to tarnish the image of the school, » Gballey added.

Gballey called on other students to focus and do away with early sex weather on campus or at their respective homes.

“This school is a learning institution not a place for marriage or an area for having sex,” said Mr. Gballey.

Meanwhile, the school principal disclosed that due to early marriage in the community, the school is facing low enrolment of female students.

Duodee Public School currently has 200 students for this academic school year, with 175 of them males.

The institution is operating at a primary level from Nursery to Six Grade with only five teachers in its classrooms.
