Youth and Sports minister commends StarTimes

Accra, April 11. GNA – Mr. Isaac Kwame Asiamah, Minister of Youth and Sports (MOYS) has commended StarTimes Systems Limited, for their efforts in providing sporting infrastructure in Ghana.

He said, this would help government in its quest to provide more sporting infrastructure for Ghanaians adding that, he was pleased to have such an organisation that believes in Governments’ agenda of using sports as a tool for development.

He said this, when Mr. Sheng Yi, Deputy Manager of Media Division, StarTimes, a Chinese Broadcasting firm, paid a courtesy call on Wednesday, in Accra.

Mr. Kwame Asiamah, urged StarTimes to continue to use sports as a tool to champion its contribution in the country, adding that sports offers massive leverage due to the colossal interest among the populace.

Mr. Yi expressed appreciation to the minister for his support for the company, and urged him to remain committed to their cause.

He said his outfit was ready to continue with their support for Ghana sports and football especially.
