Nsaba, C/R), Feb 18, GNA – The Agona East Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has inaugurated three wings of the party to rekindle the spirits and also propel supporters to work hard towards 2020 elections.

The three arms of the party inaugurated were; Nasara, Women and Youth wings.

Mr. Anthony Kwesi Sackey, Central Regional Youth Organiser of the NPP who swore them into office charged them to work harder than 2016 elections which brought the party to power.

He asked them to embark on house to house campaigns to educate the people on government policies and performance in the past two years.

Mr. Ekow Ewusi, the Central Regional first Vice Chairman pledged an amount of GH¢10,000.00 to support a party office being constructed at Agona Nsaba adding that the Agona East was an orphan constituency that needed extra work to win more supporters for the party.

He stated that Central Regional Party executives led by Mr. Robert Kutin, Jnr, the Regional Chairman have promised to offer logistics to propel the party supporters to work to win the Parliamentary seat from National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 elections.

He gave the assurance that any of the three Aspiring Parliamentary Candidates namely Dr. Kennedy Abrokwa, Professor Kwesi Yankah and Mr. Prince Essah who would win the primaries would be the NPP MP for Agona East in 2020 elections.

Mr. Ewusi called for unity, selfless, dedication and hard work as the only panacea that could guarantee a win for the Party in both the Parliamentary and Presidential elections.

The Vice Chairman explained that the essence of inaugurating the three wings was to afford the party the opportunity to prepare enough grounds to increase the Parliamentary seats from 19 to 23 in 2020.

He said the government had worked extra hard to clear all outstanding arrears owed by the National Health Insurance Authority NHIA).

The promise to restore teachers and nurses allowances, reduction of Electricity and Water Tariffs among others to ease financial burden on Ghanaians had been done.

The government he noted was also aware of the bad nature of road infrastructure in the Agona East and West constituencies and assured the people that all the road projects were captured in the 2020 budget.

The Vice Chairman asked farmers to continue embracing planting for food and jobs and other policies rolled out by the government aimed at reducing hunger and poverty as well as export foods to neighbouring countries to earn foreign exchange.

Mr. Sam Essandoh, Agona East NPP Chairman expressed gratitude to the National and Regional executives for the inauguration of the three wings and hoped that they would team up with Constituency executives to achieve their aims and objectives.

He said the prime objective of the inauguration was to revive the party at the grassroots to enable them to work as a team to defeat NDC in the 2020 elections.

Mr Essandoh said the executive officers are constructing party office which had reached roofing level and appealed to the National, Regional executives and others to come to support them.
