Praia, Oct 14 (Inforpress) – The head of Cabo Verdean diplomacy, Luís Filipe Tavares, participates in the 37th meeting of the Executive Council (EC) of the African Union, where the question of the Fund for peacekeeping operations in Africa will be reviewed in Africa.
The meeting, held this Tuesday, 14th, by videoconference, is chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Africa, a country which holds the African Union rotating presidency, and must approve several reports from the different AU committees.
The meeting was attended by the chairman of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat. The EC will also review the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in the African continent.
The African Union, through the African Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been helping countries to tackle the pandemic with support and advice of various kinds.
Today, the Cabo Verdean Minister for Foreign Affairs and Communities will speak about the evolution of the COVID-19 in the country and the measures adopted to combat this pandemic in the best possible way.
