Accra, December 10, 2018 – MTN Ghana has been honoured as the « Gold Employer of the Year » for its management of people at the 2018 Investor in People Awards.
The Awards celebrated the best people management practices amongst Investors in accredited businesses and this year’s winners were announced at an awards ceremony and dinner held in London on November 28 2018.
This was contained in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency and signed by Mr Sam Koranteng, the Corporate Services Executive of MTN Ghana.
The statement explained that, Investors in People is one of the world’s leading people management standards, and a business improvement tool designed to help organisations develop performance through their people.
According to the statement, Mrs Amma Benneh-Amponsah, the Human Resource Executive of MTN Ghana said, « We are excited MTN Ghana has become part of strong global brands that have won this award. MTN Ghana is committed to building a great place to work, a conducive environment that enables employees to deliver the best products and services as we provide the modern connected life that everyone deserves ».
The statement noted that Mr Paul Devoy, the Head of Investors in People, said: « This year’s Investors in People Awards was an inspirational celebration of best practice across our international community. It was fantastic to see so many worthy organisations nominated for outperformance in their approach to people management. »

MTN Ghana attained its first Investors in People Accreditation in 2014.
