Mamdev Ghana Limited donates to Mfantseman Girls

Saltpond (C/R), June 23, GNA – Mamdev Ghana Limited, a construction company in collaboration with Steady/X, a technology giant had presented quantities of teaching and learning aids to Mfantseman Girls Senior High School in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region.

The gesture was to spur them on in recognition of their achievements for the best Core Values and Head of school Awards during the natural LEGO League Robotics Challenge  2021.

For their award, the school received branded power banks, T-shirts while the laptops would be delivered later.

Mr Alfred Hudson, an official of Mamdev Ghana Limited who presented the items, praised the school authorities for the child-friendly and playful introduction to the world of research and robotics.

That he said helped students develop creative solutions to real problems, thereby strengthening their skills that were important for the future – self-confidence, teamwork and knowledge of science and technology.

He said the donation formed part of the company’s project to support all Senior High Schools in the Cape Coast metropolis and beyond with over 40,000 laptops to enhance teaching and learning.

Additionally, the company had began  a 24-week intensive training for some selected teachers with support services to effectively empower them to improve teaching and learning in schools.

The beneficiary teachers were selected from Senior High Schools including; Holy Child, Wesley Girls, Oguaa Sec/Tech, University Practice, Academy of Christ the King, Edinaman, Aggrey Memorial Zion, Ghana National, St. Augustine’s College, Adisadel College, Mfantsipim and Mfantseman Girls’.

The initiative also is tied in with Mamdev Ghana Limited and partners’ vision to transform Cape Coast into a $10 billion green, smart and sustainable model city.

The project will transform Cape Coast, the first capital of Ghana, into a centre-piece of African history and in the future, present a model lifestyle and community development platform for Africa.

Mrs Phyllis Arthur-Simpson, Headmistress of Mfantsiman school received the items and expressed gratitude to the company and partners for the honour done them and pledged to put them to good use.
