Porto Novo, Mar 17 (Inforpress) – The municipality of Porto Novo receives, throughout this year, investments in the field of water and sanitation of around 53 million escudos, as part of the water and sanitation project for Santo Antão.
This amount is part of a package of public investments announced by the Government for Santo Antão, throughout this year, which exceed, in total, 960 million escudos, funds foreseen in the framework of the State Budget for 2020.
For now, the actions already underway, which fall within the scope of the water and sanitation project for Santo Antão, are focusing on carrying out technical consultancy work, under the responsibility of the Maritanian Consulting Group company.
The Santo Antão water and sanitation project, which will be implemented until 2023, represents an investment of 1.2 billion escudos, an amount financed by the Arab Bank for Development in Africa (Badea).
