BAG to organise a two-day tournament in Accra

Accra, March, 31, GNA- The Badminton Association of Ghana (BAG) is set to organise a two-day tournament, scheduled for Friday, April 2nd and Saturday 3rd at the Sports Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium.

The tournament which would focus on the Under-35 forms part of the selection trial for the 2021 African Championships and 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Speaking to the GNA Sports, Mr. Yeboah Evans the President of the BAG said the tournament format would be Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles with the maximum of sixty pairs only.

Mr. Yeboah said the Association would also the formation of Regional Association and Clubs, as well as people of all age level to practice the sports.

He added that the aim of BAG was to developed and promote teams to organise and control Badminton in Ghana.

He said the Association also sought to prepare and present teams to participate in national and international tournaments at all levels.
