Hollard and Jumia partner to make insurance accessible online

Tema, June 24, GNA-Hollard Ghana, an insurance company and Jumia, an e-commerce platform, have joined forces to make insurance policies easily accessible online for Ghanaians.
The Partnership is expected to provide an efficient platform, leveraging on technology and network, for the public to purchase Hollard life insurance products.
Ms Tolulope George-Yanwah, Chief Executive Officer of Jumia Ghana, said the outfit was dedicated to improving the everyday lives of Ghanaians through technology and innovation.
“As seen over the past few years, we have provided Ghanaians with an efficient platform to buy essential products, pay for their goods and services, purchase food from their favorite restaurants and have all their items delivered in a safe, convenient manner,” she said.
She said the partnership was needed to drive digital growth by enabling consumers purchase their preferred insurance products on its platform.
Ms Patience Akyianu, Group Chief Executive Officer for Hollard, said in the last year, COVID-19 had driven a spike in digital usage as Ghanaians had become accustomed to digital services to the point of expecting companies to provide accessible and on-demand products.
The partnership, she said, would enable Hollard to provide valuable general and life insurance cover on a secure platform with real-time visibility and technology integration to increase penetration and make insurance a lifestyle.
She noted that Hollard Ghana was known for its innovation and commitment to making insurance more accessible.
