Praia, Sep 16 (Inforpress) – The new chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics (INMG), José Manuel Pereira, sworn in on Tuesday, proposed working to make the Institute a national reference.
José Manuel Pereira assured that everything will be done to capitalize on all the good practices have been developed and implemented at INMG over the years and also propose new strategic and innovative policies.
“Therefore, it is to work to improve the work and performance index of the Institute, as a national authority in the field of meteorology, for aeronautical, maritime and geophysical purposes in the Cabo Verdean territory and in the continuation of national policies promoting the consolidation of meteorological services, climatology and geophysics, essential for sustainable development,” he said.
To this end, he proposes to invest in human capital and also in state-of-the-art technologies which allow the development of agility in the processes, through the automation of repetitive activities that allow to increase efficiency and reduce errors in the process, avoiding so-called rework.
