Bodi DCE donates to widows

  29 Décembre      35        Société (45146),

Bodi (W/N), Dec. 28, GNA – Mr Ignatius Kwasi Amankwah, the District Chief Executive for Bodi, has donated assorted items to widows and the needy in the Kankyiabo Electoral Area in the Western North Region.
The widows, numbering about 30, were drawn from all the communities within the Electoral Area namely; Nkrumakrom, Yayaso, Kankyiabo, Ntaasano, Alavanyo, Apenti and Damptekrom.
The items included clothes, rice, cooking oil, tomato paste, and canned fish.
Mr Amankwa, also the Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2020 elections, said: « He who puts smiles on the faces of the needy and the less privileged in this festive season has done what is needful and pleasing to the Lord Almighty. »
He asked them to accept his widow’s might and pray for him to win the parliamentary slot to enable him to do more.
He advised traditional authorities and the widows to take advantage of the Free Senior High School programme and enrol their children in school, adding; « It’s only when the children get education that they will be able to take proper care of themselves ».
Mr Amankwa said the Government, through the Ghana COCOBOD, had invested heavily in the cocoa regeneration programme so the people should embrace it and take full advantage to get their diseased cocoa farms replanted.
He said it was only the NPP government that had taken this bold step to replant all diseased cocoa farms in the country.
“So farmers should support and vote for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Ignatius Kwasi Amankwah in the 2020 elections to enable them to do more for farmers.”
Nana Ofori, the Odikro for Ntaasano, who delivered the welcome address on behalf of the other chiefs, said they were grateful to the DCE for the development they had seen under his administration.
He also thanked Mr Amankwa for supporting the widows and appealed to all and sundry to rally behind him to win the parliamentary seat in the 2020 elections.
The Dagaare Chief, Taanaa Manu, was full of praise of the DCE for putting smiles on the faces of the widows and the needy and advised his subjects to give him all the support to become the MP for Bodi.
