Praia, Jun 29 (Inforpress) – The Anti-Drug Coalition of Achada São Filipe, in the city of Praia, promoted throughout this week several activities carrying warning messages to children, adolescents and young people in order to avoid first contact with drugs.
The activities, which took place in the context of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, which is observed this Saturday, culminated on Saturday afternoon with a “pedaling against drugs” in the streets of São Filipe and Ponta d’Água, also involving children and adolescents.
The president of the Anti-Drug Coalition of São Filipe, António Horta, said the organization has been working with a focus on prevention, especially warning children, adolescents and young people to avoid first contact with the drug.
“The clear message from ONUDC is that we share facts about drugs and save lives and I think that’s exactly what we should do, spread the messages and appeal to communities, parents to be on alert and help our children and our young people and avoid this path without return or difficult return” told.
