Accra, Aug. 08, GNA – The Black Princesses’ hope of advancing to the next round of the ongoing Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) U-20 Women’s World Cup, has been dashed as they suffered a 4:0 thrashing from Netherlands in the second Group A game, at Stade de la Rabine in Vannes, France.

Coach Yusif Basigi, who made four changes to the team’s starting line up in their first game, was much aware of the crucial nature of the game, as they were poised to book their first ever qualification in this championship, but it proved otherwise as they were outclassed by the debutants.
A goal from Aniek Nouwen and a brace from Fenna Kalma in the first forty-five minutes ensured that the Netherlands were in total control as the Ghanaians looked jittery and panicked throughout the game.

The Black Princesses came back strongly in the second half in search of equalizer but it proved futile as Victoria Pelova added the fourth for the Netherlands to book an early qualification into the next round after beating New Zealand by 2:1 in their opening game.
This score line leaves the Princesses’ final game with New Zealand a mere exercise, as the hopes of making it to the next round of the competition is over.
