PaySwitch to the rescue of National Federations

Accra, Sept. 10, GNA – The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has landed a mouth-watering deal with PaySwitch Company Limited, to assist National Federations to pay their international affiliation fees.

This deal, would see the various federations getting at least US$500 as subsidy in support of their affiliation fees.

Mr Ben Nunoo Mensah, President of the GOC said, one of the biggest challenges facing federations in the country was the payment of their affiliation fees, therefore it was prudent to find ways of assisting them.

He noted that, the GOC under his leadership would continue to find alternative ways to supporting federations in their developmental programmes.

It would be recalled that prior to Ghana’s participation in the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in Australia, the GOC solicited funds from Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) to aid participating disciplines to prepare.

Non-participation disciplines were also given support for their developmental programmes.

PaySwitch Company Limited has been supportive to the GOC and this would be the second time they are coming on board to assist the Ghana’s Olympic family.

They were Ghana’s headline sponsor for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games held in PyeongChang, Korea, early this year and have now come on board to assist the federations in payment of their 2018 affiliation fees.
