First Forum “Pensar a Cidade” is a brand the City Hall of Praia is launching – Councilwoman

Praia, Apr 30 (Inforpress) – The first edition of the “Pensar a Cidade” Forum is a brand the City Hall of Praia (CMP) is launching, said Thursday to Inforpress the councilwoman of culture and creative economy from the City Hall of Praia, Chissana Magalhães.
“This first edition, which takes place online, has as its central theme “Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Development”, said the councilwoman, adding that with this event is intended to foster a discussion around the Praia potential, as a tourist center, with particular focus on issues related to cultural tourism and the role the cultural heritage (material and immaterial) can play.
The “Pensar a Cidade” Forum takes place within the celebrations framework of 163 years of the then Village of Santa Maria da Vitória’s elevation to the category of city, which is marked this Thursday, 29th.
The Forum, according to the councilwoman, has as speakers the historian António Correia e Silva, former rector of the University of Cabo Verde, Amílcar Aristides Monteiro, consultant and researcher in the tourism and local development area, António Canhão Veloso, entrepreneur, consultant, CEO of CulTur, Melissa Inocêncio, marketeer and businesswoman, Emanuel Almeida, Tourism management and administration technician and José Landim, master in Valorization and Management of Cultural Heritage.
