Praia, May 27 (Inforpress) – The Portuguese Foreign Minister, João Gomes Cravinho, said Wednesday that his visit to Cabo Verde aims to identify what needs to be done to materialize the new ambitions after the last Summit between the two countries.
João Gomes Cravinho spoke to the press after a meeting with the President of the National Assembly, Austelino Correia.
“It was important for me to come to Cabo Verde early in my duties to attest to what is the importance of Cabo Verde in our foreign policy to identify what needs to be done after a recent Summit in which a set of new instruments were signed, what needs to be done to materialize these new ambitions and I had the opportunity to know a different part of Cabo Verde”, he said.
As he explained, the different part refers to Santo Antão, an island he characterized as being differentiated, with “great potential”, but also with “great challenges” resulting from the conjuncture.
