Luanda, 23 July (ANGOP) – Angola registered, in the last 24 hours, the recovery of 189 patients, 178 new cases and 4 deaths.
According to figures released by the health authorities, amongst those recovered, 90 live in Luanda, 32 in Huíla, 30 in Huambo, 17 in Cunene, 14 in Uíge, 5 in Malanje and in Lunda Sul.
Among the new cases, 48 were diagnosed in Cunene, 38 in Lunda Norte, 37 in Luanda, 24 in Benguela, 20 in Moxico, 7 in Namibe, 4 in Huila, 1 in Bié, 1 in Cabinda, 1 in Cuanza Norte, 1 in Malanje, 1 in Lunda Sul and 1 in Uige.
With ages ranging from 3 months to 83 years, 103 are men and 75 are women.
The deaths were registered in the provinces of Cunene and Moxico, with two cases each.
Laboratories have processed 3,024 samples.
The authorities control 148 people in institutional quarantine centres, 2,586 under epidemiological surveillance and 132 patients in treatment centres.
Angola has 41,405 positive cases, with 977 deaths, 35,082 recovered and 5,346 active. Of the active ones, 3 are critical, 7 severe, 81 moderate, 41 mild and 5,214 asymptomatic.
