Entrepreneurs Centre to aid emerging businesses opens

Accra, June 09, GNA – An Entrepreneurship Centre to aid new businesses to deal with teething challenges and sustain them on the path of growth and profitability has been opened in Madina, Accra.
The facility would be providing training in entrepreneurial and vocational skills, social media marketing, branding, product labelling and packaging.
The goal is to give relevant support to entrepreneurs through experiential learning to make a positive and meaningful difference.
Ms Awuradwoa Adjei, the brain behind the Centre, said entrepreneurship was the single most critical ingredient for economic empowerment and that it played a significant role in sustainable development.
She pointed out that « unemployment concerns cannot be solved by more government jobs » and what was needed was to create the right environment for businesses to thrive.
Start-ups and small businesses had the potential to ease the burden of massive graduate unemployment as they could contribute massively to job creation.
« Only entrepreneurs can create the millions of jobs we need to power our economy out of poverty, » she added.
It was therefore important that everything was done to assist businesses to optimally perform.
Mr Adams Amisu, the Managing Director of OriVest International, urged start-ups and small businesses to take advantage of the opportunity to become formidable.
He reminded them that the world had reached a point where business operations required innovation and creativity to survive.
He said it was time the youth, especially graduates, took their future into their own hands – to make their ideas become reality and touched lives.
